About the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable AP Physics tutor to support high school students in understanding challenging physics concepts and preparing for their AP exams. The tutor will help students strengthen problem-solving skills and develop confidence in tackling AP-level physics questions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-person tutoring sessions for high school students taking AP Physics
  • Teach key topics including mechanics, electricity & magnetism, and problem-solving techniques
  • Help students prepare for AP Physics exams through practice questions and review sessions
  • Assist with homework and coursework when needed
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback

Qualifications

  • Strong academic background in Physics, Engineering, or a related field
  • Currently studying at or graduated from a university
  • Familiarity with AP Physics curriculum (Physics 1, Physics 2, or Physics C)
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred

  • Scored 5 on an AP Physics exam
  • Physics, Engineering, or STEM major
  • Experience teaching high school physics

Work Location

In-person tutoring sessions in Vancouver.
