Online High School Tutor (Math / Science / English – BC, Canada Curriculum)
We are hiring online tutors to teach high school students following the British Columbia (BC) curriculum. Tutors will work remotely with students through online platforms to help them understand course material, prepare for tests, and improve their academic performance.
This position is ideal for university graduates, teachers, or experienced tutors who are passionate about education and enjoy working with high school students in an online learning environment.
Subjects Needed
We are currently hiring tutors for the following high school subjects:
- Mathematics (Pre-Calculus 10–12, Calculus)
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- English / English Literature
- General Science
- Economics
- Social Studies / History
Applicants may apply to tutor one or multiple subjects depending on their expertise.
Responsibilities
- Conduct online one-on-one tutoring sessions with high school students
- Explain academic concepts aligned with the BC high school curriculum
- Help students prepare for tests, assignments, and exams
- Provide practice problems and study strategies
- Track student progress and provide feedback when necessary
- Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment
Requirements
- Strong academic background in the subject(s) you wish to tutor
- Graduated from a college or university (preferred)
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience is an asset
- Familiarity with the BC curriculum is preferred
- Reliable internet connection and ability to teach online
- Strong communication skills and patience when working with students
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience tutoring Grades 8–12 students
- Experience using online teaching tools such as Zoom, Google Meet, or digital whiteboards

- Most sessions take place after school hours and weekends (Pacific Time)
